Relationship Agreement Generator:
We collect first and last names, email addresses, and questionnaire responses related to relationship structures and boundaries. By submitting your responses, you provide explicit consent for us to process this data solely for the purpose of generating your customized relationship agreement, in ways that honor your relational rights and accountability to the community.

2. Lawful Basis for Processing

We collect and process your personal data based on your consent and/or as necessary to fulfill our contract with you. This includes generating customized relationship agreements and other services. For any processing of sensitive personal data, such as relationship information, we rely on your explicit consent.

3. Purpose of Data Collection (Relational Accountability and Reciprocity)

We collect data to serve and support your relationships through personalized agreements and services. Our approach is guided by relational accountability, and we treat your data as part of a relationship of trust. The information collected may also be used to help educate and benefit the broader community through anonymized, aggregated research on decolonizing love and relationships.

Your personal data is stored securely on Decolonizing Love's Google Account, which is protected by Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). We also use Fillout.com to collect and store data submitted through the Relationship Agreement Generator. Please refer to Fillout.com's privacy policy for their data-handling practices.

We store email and marketing data via MailerLite and Squarespace Email Campaigns.

5. Data Transfers

If your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data in accordance with legal requirements and our commitment to respecting data sovereignty.

6. Data Retention

  1. Transaction Data:
    Retained for 5 years to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

  2. Relationship Agreement Generator Data:
    Names and email addresses are retained for one month, while anonymized responses are kept for 12 months. You can request the deletion of your personal data at any time. Data used for research will always be anonymized and aggregated to benefit the broader community without compromising individual privacy.

  3. User Accounts:
    Retained until a deletion request is made. Inactive accounts will be deleted after 2 years.

  4. Marketing Data:
    Retained until you opt out or unsubscribe.

  5. Analytics Data:
    Retained for 12-24 months.
